Michelle's research focuses on social learning for sustainable land use. She is an Agronomic Engineer with a Master in Rural Development from Buenos Aires University and a PhD and Habilitation from the Humboldt University of Berlin (HU). She works on projects in Latin America, Asia and Africa, receiving 4 prizes for her academic performance. She worked at FAO and currently she is the deputy head of Susland group at ZALF and lecturer on Environmental Sociology at HU, and Assoc. Professor at UVV.
